Bonwick House

Passivhaus Apartments

An innovative initiative in cohousing features shared community amenities and the Isle of Man’s inaugural multi-unit Passivhaus structure, encompassing 17 high-quality apartments ranging from one to two bedrooms. Along with a common house which will also serve as a community hall, community library and workspace, guest accommodations, and expansive communal gardens featuring raised vegetable plots and a fruit tree orchard, the project integrates food cultivation and self-generation of power, promoting new levels of self-sufficiency and environmental sustainability. The project combines the high-performance standards of Passivhaus design with a distinctive vision of sustainable communal living.
